My career and life has always been diverse, exciting and rewarding. I have spent my professional life providing services to others; health care provider at-the-bedside, health care provider entrepreneur, health care manager, volunteer…and Realtor®…the one common denominator regardless of whatever I have done…HELPING!!!
My original career was as a Respiratory Therapist, helping the most vulnerable at the worst of their times, advocating for them, and teaching new generations of therapists how to help and advocate for their clients. I took this responsibility very seriously and in addition to my clinical and teaching responsibilities, I made time to successfully serve as President of my professional association so I could advocate these ideals and principles both provincially and nationally amongst my peers.
At the same time, I formed a successful medical air evacuation company, specializing in returning the most frail and vulnerable who had fallen ill far from their home and families…no matter how far, no matter how ill, many times at merely the cost of getting them home, often donating my professional fees and operating costs just to get it done.
As an health care management professional for over 20 years, I earned the reputation of expert negotiator and advocate on all sides of the negotiation table; finding successful resolutions to difficult situations and negotiating `win-win` agreements at the most difficult of times the hallmark of my success, skills that will serve YOU well as my valued client. In addition, I have served as a volunteer with a national standards organization establishing consensus-based national standards of care for the provision of critical health care services for over 8 years.
